DELIVERY & SHIPPING INFORMATION

You can choose to have your gifts sent directly to the recipient anywhere in New Zealand — or around the world! Our team aims to dispatch all orders within 24–48 hours (Monday – Friday).
If there’s ever a delay or issue, our friendly team will contact you to find a solution.

DELIVERY CHARGES – NEW ZEALAND

We offer FREE SHIPPING on orders that are under 4 kg and over $100 to urban and business addresses in the North Island, and discounted shipping for South Island orders.
Orders over 4 kg or to rural areas may incur additional freight costs, calculated automatically at checkout.

Standard Courier: from $6.99 (NZ-wide) – 2 to 5 business days
Urgent Overnight Courier: from $9.99 – 1 to 2 business days (most urban addresses)
Same-Day Delivery: available in Hamilton (3 pm cut-off), Auckland (11 am), and Tauranga (12 pm) – availability shown at checkout
Rural Delivery: +$3 surcharge (allow 1–2 extra days)
PO Box Delivery: available via NZ Post Urgent Courier service
Heavy Freight (25 kg +): from $15 – location and weight based (calculated at checkout)

Some oversized products may show additional freight charges on their product pages.

Free shipping does not apply to Waiheke Island, Great Barrier Island, Stewart Island, or Chatham Islands.
If extra charges apply to your address, our team will contact you before dispatch.

PRIORITY / RUSH MY ORDER SERVICE

Selecting “Rush My Order” ($3.99) at checkout moves your order to the front of the processing queue.
Your parcel will be packed and dispatched on the next available courier.

This is a priority processing service, not a shipping method, and ensures your order leaves our warehouse as quickly as possible.
Rural and island deliveries cannot be expedited beyond courier limitations.

COURIER INFORMATION & DELIVERY OPTIONS

Our parcels are sent via PBT Couriers and NZ Post for fast and reliable delivery.
Typical delivery is 1–3 working days for most urban addresses.
Rural and offshore island deliveries can take an additional 1–3 days.

All Urgent Courier – Signature Required parcels are tracked and insured.

Authority to Leave (ATL): Courier may leave the parcel without signature. Once marked as delivered, liability transfers to the sender/recipient.
Signature Required (recommended): Adds security and insurance against loss or theft — ideal for high-value or seasonal gifts.
Photo on Delivery: Where available, couriers photograph the parcel’s drop-off location for proof of placement (available in some Hamilton and urban areas).
Porch Security: Due to increased “porch pirate” theft across NZ, Funky Gifts NZ cannot be held liable for stolen goods when ATL is selected.
Tracking: All parcels include a tracking link once dispatched.

If no one is home during delivery, couriers will either leave the parcel (if ATL selected) or leave a card with instructions for re-delivery or collection.

URGENT / SAME-DAY & SATURDAY DELIVERY

If you have a super urgent order or require Saturday or Same-Day Delivery, please select this option at checkout.

Hamilton Same-Day: Delivered by Local Express or NZ Post Express Tonight (usually 2–6 hours)
Auckland Same-Day: Express Tonight service (6–9 pm window) – order by 11 am
Tauranga Same-Day: Express Tonight service (6–9 pm window) – order by 12 pm
Saturday Deliveries: Must be placed before Friday 2 pm. While we can’t guarantee Saturday arrival, we always do our best to make it happen.

Weekend orders ship Monday. Public holidays are excluded from all courier services.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

We currently offer tracked shipping to Australia directly at checkout, plus selected destinations worldwide on request.

🇦🇺 Australia Delivery Options:

Courier Select (Tracked & Signed): 3–10 business days – from $19.90
International Courier (Express): 3–5 business days – from $44.90
Shipping is calculated by weight at checkout.

🌍 Other Countries:
Shipped via NZ Post International Air (3–10 days) or International Courier (3–6 days).
For a custom quote, please contact us before ordering.

Important Notes:

Customs duties, import taxes, or tariffs are the buyer’s responsibility.
We cannot ship items containing magnets or batteries overseas.
If a parcel is returned due to customs or delivery issues, we cannot refund shipping costs.
Returned items can be re-shipped within NZ at our expense.

E-GIFT VOUCHERS

E-Gift Vouchers are delivered electronically at no extra cost and can be redeemed online at checkout just like any other purchase.

INSURANCE

All parcels are insured until successfully delivered.
Once an order has been delivered to the specified address, it is considered completed.
Funky Gifts NZ is not liable for items lost, stolen or damaged after delivery.

If your parcel arrives damaged, please inspect it before signing for the courier and contact us immediately.

YOUR OBLIGATIONS

It’s essential to enter the correct delivery address during checkout.
If an incorrect address is provided, re-delivery to the correct one will incur an additional delivery charge.

If your order hasn’t arrived when expected, please contact us as soon as possible so we can follow up with the courier and arrange prompt delivery.

Funky Gifts NZ is not liable for loss or damage caused by late or missing deliveries.
A late delivery does not constitute grounds to cancel an order.
