Metalbird Kahu

Metalbird Kahu

Bring the power and presence of Aotearoa’s skies to your garden with the Metalbird Kāhu! Also known as the Swamp Harrier, the Kāhu is New Zealand’s largest bird of prey, often spotted soaring over paddocks or searching for its next meal. With its impressive wingspan and sharp-eyed gaze, this striking raptor is a true symbol of the wild Kiwi landscape.

In Māori culture, the Kāhu represents leadership, victory and keen perception. Its appearance overhead can be seen as a tohu (sign), symbolising strength and wisdom. This bold metal silhouette captures the Kāhu’s commanding presence, creating a striking feature for your garden, fence or outdoor space.
